Clean-in-place ultrasound system: pre-emptive fouling reduction
In 2014 we began developing a proprietary clean-in-place system that continuously disrupts concentration polarization (salt accumulation at the membrane surface) and membrane fouling. Our system is now commercial-scale with first deployments scheduled by the U.S. Army for military desalination then dairy processing and finally municipal desalination.
PureSound proactively combats membrane fouling by shaking off organic, inorganic, and biological matter before it can foul the membrane. This saves energy, chemicals, water, and money.
